Fantasy Dates

On our second last night of BiP we start with Jarrod and Keira going on their last date before the final commitment ceremony tomorrow night. I love that we get a recap of their whole emotional rollercoaster in Paradise - so entertaining. How cute are they walking along the beach, talking about their feelings and wanting to kiss each other all day long? So cute!! Tell me, is there anyone responsible in production who can give Jarrod the dilo rescue cream? He's just so badly sunburned at this point. But still off they go on a yacht trip to kiss a tonne more. "No more kissing, I'm getting pash rash..." Aww lols Kiki! "Everything is working out for us. The universe is looking out for the both of us." There's so much love that you can literally see it (read: sunburn and pash rash).

Pls give him some sun protection, pls!

The #PashRash is real.

Then onto champagne, candles and some statement cushions to end the date. Keira voices her concerns about after Paradise (actually after Paradise, not Osher's spin off show). But Jarrod, being a secure man, reassures her that she is a Princess, that he adores her and she is who he wants. He remembers being heartbroken the last time he was in Fiji. But he's here with his soulmate and you can tell they're both just dying to say to each other "I love you fo reels". They don't want the date to end, I don't want the date to end, nobody wants the date to end... #GreatDate #Love #PlsInviteUsToTheWedding

Next up it's Grant and Ali's date. They get to ride some abandoned train tracks for their date. I, for one, want to do that. It looks pretty cool. Grant then likens their velocity (25kms) to how fast they're progressing in their relationship. While they speed along, we have a quick wander back through memory lane for Ali and how she was smothered by most of the guys in Paradise, but then magically Grant turned up and they had the sparks she was looking for. Ali feels like she's been swept away with Paradise, so she's going to continue with that theme and move to LA. It doesn't really help that Grant is pitching the idea all the time. Because why would he want to move to Australia? And of course, it's so effing easy to just pack up and move to LA... Not! Or do BiP contestants get special treatment from "Homeland" to just move on a whim. I really don't think this is going to work.

As they're travelling along the tracks, they spot a strategically placed group of kids that they stop and get lei's and some coconut juice from. Ali gushes about how Grant would make a great father, and Grant too says that Ali would be a great mother to his kids. Aaand he mentions thinking about proposing to her. He's proposed to a woman in Paradise before, so he's not sure if he's going to do it. He needs a hard yes on the move to LA in order for him to propose. I don't know how this is going to work.

What do you this look doll?

Why the faux caring? Too many seasons mate.

Ali & Grant: A couple that I just don't think are going to make it, but will probably give us a faux-proposal for entertainment. Ali deserves better.
I'm not sure why Grant's wearing braces or what Ali's wearing too. Is it a nightie? Anyway, the conversation turns to planning the next few months and what they could do. Will she move to LA? Won't she move to LA? She's saying she will but pretending to be unsure about it. So Grant mentions that he'll support Ali if she moves, that she won't ever feel lost or alone and that whole conversation made me feel uncomfortable because I don't think he's genuine.

Reading the stories that have been going around (about Grant and Ali not working), hearing Ali say that she wants to marry Grant, have children with him and the whole house with a picket fence in the States makes me understand why we haven't seen so much footage of these two. If we really were all invested, we'd be pissed about him breaking her later after Paradise. I've been afraid the rug is going to get pulled out from underneath her feet the whole season.

Oh yes! It's Tara and Sam's gorgeous date. They walk through the "most beautiful rainforest jungles" that Sam has ever seen in his life along with the most wonderful woman he's ever loved in his life. Sam is freaking out a little he's so happy (and so am I). The both care about each other so much, which I love. So we get to rewatch their journey in Paradise. I loved seeing them diss each other at first. All I can say is that Keira taking Tara's original date (Michael) was the key to them falling in love. They go on a cooking date. Tara is great in the kitchen, whereas Sam isn't. He doesn't even know how to cut vegetables and it's so cute. Tara gives him pointers and a lot of encouragement in the kitchen. So cute!!

See the love in her smile :-)

And in his eyes :-)

Sam and Tara then sit down to a serious conversation over cocktails. He opens his heart up and explains how commitment has terrified him in the past. It's been 3 years since his last big commitment. Sam explains, in that guy way, that it's going to be an adjustment, but he wants the adjustment because he loves her so much. He can see Tara as wife and mother material. My goodness I love them! They both love each other and they're in this. Now this I can see working.

Off to a semi-romantic start.

Just chilling...
Next up is Jake and Megan's date. It sounds like Jake is falling in love with Megan (because I still don't see many facial reactions going on), but she isn't feeling the same way... What?! When did that happen. She's enjoying the sea breeze and their time together, but that's it... "Soz babe." She says internally as she sips one of the last bottles of champagne. To help us understand Megan's predicament we watch their trip down memory lane. That's right, Megan picked Jake from a list of qualities to go on a date with and then all the drama exploded between Jake and Flo (etc etc). But back to the date where they're swimming around their yacht (like Keira and Jarrod, but not like Keira and Jarrod).

The commitment ceremony is looming over Megan's head because she's worried Jake is unable to be in a committed relationship with her because of his partying lifestyle, being around lots of beautiful single women a lot and that she's going to get hurt because he might be faking all of this. So she bravely voices those doubts. She asks him the commitment question and he, faster than a speeding bullet, says that he will be in a relationship with her. He still doesn't have much facial expression. Jake then voices his fears being that when they leave that Megan will give up. He then says that he can't imagine life without her, etc, and I can see this ending badly tomorrow night already.

Don't know if I can trust you...

Let's make out while we still can.

Megan & Jake: A couple that wish they could be deeper but just aren't. I wonder if Elora was a better match?
Megan bluntly says to camera that she doesn't love Jake. It's just too early. She's 90% sure that he can make it. Doesn't sound like enough though.

Conclusion tmw night: 3 couples have huge love possibility. Grant will most likely propose and so will Sam. We know Keira and Jarrod will continue on and he's going to give her something commitment like. But will Megan blow Jake off or not?
